Definitions:

• Quit Attempt: classed as a person who agrees to use Quitline’s services. From July 2012, the Quitline service changed to align to the Ministry of Health’s Tier 1 Smoking Cessation Specifications. Due to programme definition changes, Quit Attempt levels reduced by 12%
• Ethnicity: Quitline counts total ethnic responses, therefore the total ethnic responses will be higher than the total Quit Attempts as some clients may relate to more than one Ethnic group.
